What is Inclusive Minds?

Inclusive Minds is a board game, designed to promote mental well-being and social inclusion. But it is more than just a game, it’s a space for reflection, conversation and connection.

 

What is the goal of the game?

Inclusive Minds allow players to combat stressful factors of their life, based on the wheel of life method. The game is about overcoming challenging life situations („Stress cards“) by finding ways to deal with distress („Mindfulness cards“).

 

The gameplay in a nutshell

Although the game could accommodate well over 20 players, we recommend smaller groups of 5-10 players.

During the course of the game, the players will face cards representing stressful situations and will accumulate mindfulness cards and through them express a personal experience or belief of how it is possible to overcome such a situation. The players work together to overcome Stress cards. The goal is to move all the trackers up into the green area, symbolizing balance and well-being.

 

Components

The necessary materials for the game are available to download on this website: Mindfulness cards offer strategies, ideas and coping tools to respond to each stress scenario. Stress cards present life challenges that players must work together to resolve. The Wheel of life board represents seven key areas of well-being, guiding your progress throughout the game. Seven domain trackers mark your team’s advancement in each life domain as you play mindfulness cards.

 

Rulebook and Trainer’s Guide

The Rulebook explains how to set up and play the game. The Trainer’s Guide offers tips and suggestions for educators or facilitators on how to use the game in learning environments.
