Avalon: Mentorin Mafalda Rakoš
Visual Artist, Photographer
Triggered by the ethical conflict around portraying and representing others, she develops collaborative and polyphonic approaches to create long-term projects in the intersection of art, anthropology and documentary photography, with a strong emphasis on dialogue and mutual decision-making.
Mafalda Rakoš has been working with females and males affected by eating disorders since 2013, of which two books were published: I want to disappear, 2018, and A Story to Tell, 2020 (Fotohof).
She works between Vienna and Amsterdam.
